Recycling Resource Partnership Conference

CPIA and the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISE) at the University of Waterloo have combined forces for the fifth year to produce a two-day conference brimming with international experts, policy makers, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs. Together, they will advance the discussion concerning how best to apply 21stΒ century resource recovery technologies and circular economy thinking as we progress towards zero waste and a sustainable economy. This conference is vitalΒ forΒ municipal and provincial government representatives, manufacturers and brandowners, recyclers and processors, end-markets, consultants and stakeholders and academics as they seek to define the future of solid waste management and the circular economy. RFP – BC Used Oil Management Association – Updated Filter Study

On behalf the the BC Used Oil Management Association (BCUOMA), please be advised of an RFP issued for an updated study of used oil filters in British Columbia. The objectives of the study are to: Determine the typical composition of a drum of used oil filters; Evaluate the ratios and typical weights of different filter types in drums of used oil filters; and Determine the typical amount of free product, general waste and non-eligible filters in a drum of used oil filters. The RFP is open until Tuesday, June 19, 2018. Other key dates are outlined on page 2 of the attached RFP. Also attached for reference is the final report resulting from a similar study conducted by the BCUOMA in 2007.
