About the Course
The Manager of Landfill Operations course offers an in-depth exploration of modern landfill management, covering essential topics such as site design, regulatory requirements, health and safety practices, cost management, and the key considerations involved in planning, operating, and closing landfill facilities.
Through a combination of expert-led instruction, interactive activities, and a facility tour, participants will gain practical knowledge and real-world insights to enhance their operational effectiveness. This course also serves as valuable preparation for the Manager of Landfill Operations Certification Exam (not included with registration)

FAQs
What is the refund policy?
A full refund minus a $75 administration fee will be issued prior to 30 days (September 19, 2026) before the MOLO training course. Full charge applicable thereafter. Although refunds will not be issued within 30 days of the training which the participant is registered for, substitutions ARE allowed. Please call or email request to info@swanabc.org.
As we will be utilizing the new Canadian MOLO manual, once a manual has been purchased, it cannot be returned or refunded. You will be charged for the manual.
Where is the course being held?
This MOLO course will be delivered in-person at the Ramada Hotel in Kelowna, BC.
What are the days and times?
The training course will take place Tuesday, October 20 to Thursday, October 22, 2026 (3 full days) from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM PST each day.
Does this include the SWANA MOLO exam?
This training course does not include the MOLO exam. MOLO certification exams are offered online by SWANA.org and can be completed at any time. The exam costs $250 USD for members and $400 USD for non-members. Note that SWANA Pacific cannot register you for the exam and does not administer the exam.
