About the Course
This course provides an overview of disaster debris management and the importance of planning before an emergency occurs. Participants will learn the role of solid waste professionals within the Incident Command System (ICS) and gain practical knowledge on debris removal, processing, disposal, contracting, financing, and health and safety following a disaster.
Location
All training will take place via an ‘live’ online classroom on Zoom.

This course is ideal for landfill owners, operators, managers, supervisors, solid waste professionals, emergency management personnel, municipal staff, elected officials, environmental consultants, public works staff, and anyone involved in emergency planning or disaster response.

What is the refund policy?
A full refund, less a $75 administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received before November 6, 2026. No refunds will be issued after this date; however, participant substitutions are permitted. Please contact training@swanabc.org for cancellations or substitutions.
Where is the course being held?
This course will be delivered via a ‘live’ online classroom on Zoom.
What are the days and times?
The training course will take place December 7 and 8, 2026 (2 full days) from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST each day.
Early registration is encouraged to allow time for shipment of the training manual.
