On September 30th, 2023, proposed Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made by the Department of Environment, which include proposed amendments to the Cross-Border Movement of Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Material Regulations, were published in Canada Gazette, Part I Regulations Amending Certain Department of the Environment Regulations. This publication initiates a 60-day public consultation period during which stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit comments to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) on the proposed Regulations.
