The City of Vancouver is seeking a Superintendent 1 as part of the Transfer and Landfill Operations (TLO) Management team. Closes: August 7, 2019
The Superintendent I is responsible for leading and managing the Vancouver South Transfer Station and Zero Waste Centre which consists of approximately 45 staff on varying shifts, 7 days per week. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure efficient and economic operation of the Vancouver South Transfer Station while at the same time providing a high level of customer service to strive to a world class operation. This position may also be responsible for managing the Vancouver Landfill operation, depending on shifts. This position is primarily based at the Vancouver South Transfer Station; however, the successful candidate may be required to work varying shifts at both locations depending upon operational requirements.
