Education Webinar – Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)


Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of compounds classified as an emerging contaminant that may pose a risk to human health and the environment. This presentation will dive into the basics of what PFAS compounds are, where they came from, and why regulators are concerned with them in the United States. The discussion will then move into what is being done to contend with PFAS compounds in different mediums including drinking water, groundwater, and soil. The presentation closes with what is coming next, including treatment, regulation, and key elements of PFAS moving forward.
