As a member of the leadership team in the Operations Division and reporting to the General Manager of Operations, the Manager of Solid Waste & Recycling plays a key leadership role at the Regional District and contributes to achieving the overall vision of the organization and the communities we serve. This position manages the operations of the Solid Waste & Recycling Department to support the strategic development and implementation of the Regional Solid Waste Management Plan, and delivers effective and responsive services through the Residuals Management, Recycling, Waste Reduction and other programs. Leading a team of approximately seven staff, the Manager of Solid Waste & Recycling takes a lead role in the preparation and management of budgets and procurement processes for successful delivery programs and services.
