The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications for the regular full time Recycling Facility Leader V and Recycling / Facility Attendant I combination position within Solid Waste Operations within the Operations Department.
Reporting to the Manager – Solid Waste Operations, when performing the role of Recycling Facility Leader V you will be ensuring the safe, efficient operation of CVRD Recycling facilities including a transfer station and truck fleet coordination. This position coordinates the daily facilities operations, supervises and directs the work of staff, coordinates contractor servicing requirements, administers and enforces OH&S policies and related regulatory requirements to ensure the facilities operate safely and efficiently. When performing the role of Recycling Facility Attendant I you will be contributing to the effective operation of CVRD Recycling facilities by primarily assisting the public in depositing their waste and recyclables in the appropriate areas, performing tasks to ensure those materials and the overall facility are well maintained in order to provide a safe and convenient environment.
