Reporting to the General Manager, Operations, the Manager, Recycling & Waste Management (RWM) Division is responsible for development of policy, planning, and operations for all solid waste management programs and facilities; directing the development, amendment, and implementation of the regional Solid Waste Management Plan; solid waste and associated environmental policies and bylaws, asset management, and planning initiatives. This position is also responsible for the preparation of the RWM budget, directing inside technical and administrative staff and consultants/contractors, and overseeing specific initiatives and projects as directed by the CVRD Board.
