The Engineering Assistant IV (EA IV) plays a key role in planning, implementing and managing various environmental projects and programs at the Vancouver Landfill. This position is responsible for managing the annual water quality and compost sample collection program (performed by an external consultant), reporting water quality results and leachate flow rates to regulatory agencies and stakeholders, preparing the Landfill Annual Report, monitoring and maintaining the Remote Water Level Monitoring System, operating and maintaining related infrastructure, reviewing and approving nuisance waste disposal applications and other material acceptance requests, liaising with internal departments regarding disposal requests, managing contracts, budgets and schedules for outside service providers, maintaining documentation and reports and performing other duties as required.
