BC Bioenergy Municipal Collaborative LFG Workshop a Success!
On January 13 and 14, SWANA BC collaborated with the BC Bioenergy
Municipal Collaborative, the BC Solid Waste Management Association and
the Pacific Carbon Trust, to present a one-and-a-half-day workshop on
the topic of Landfill Gas Collection and Utilization.
More than 40
participants representing solid waste departments, elected municipal
representatives, suppliers, and funding partners from across the
province were provided state-of-the-art information, best practices,
and potential funding sources for landfill gas collection and
utilization options. This was the first time that SWANA BC Chapter has
collaborated with another group on a training event such as this, and
we were very pleased with the outcome and the calibre of the
presentations.
